Winner of international awards-. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras from all over the world in major concert halls including the Sydney Opera House, Wigmore Hall, Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Great Hall.She currently teaches at the Royal College of Music, London. She plays a 1760 Nicolò Gagliano violin, kindly loaned to her through the Beare’s International Violin Society.

She has played concerts in China, Germany, Austria, the United States, Japan, and participated in many music festivals including Salzburg, Hannover, Yokohama, Hong Kong, Shanghai and also as a soloist, invited to perform with orchestras including Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Opera Orchestra, and Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra Yuan Jiamin is an associate professor of violin at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SHCM). She holds music degrees from the Shanghai Conservatory and the University Mozarteum Salzburg.

He has an enjoys an eclectic career as a performer, educator and conducto.He has received international awards as best teacher including the prestigious Hong Kong International Violin Competition and Schoenfeld International String Competition. He is permanently invited to the jury of international competitions.

Violinist and Pedagogue

Feng Jia, from a musical family, began violin at age 3, winning a provincial competition by 5 and placing second in the China National Violin Competition by 9. She graduated with top honors from Wuhan Conservatory of Music, studying under leading professors, and attended prestigious international music camps, winning the Best Concerto Performer Award. As a performer and educator with over 20 years of experience, Feng was a full-time violinist with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and developed her own teaching methods. She encourages student participation in competitions with great success. Feng plays a 1953 Charles Adolphe Maucotel violin, on loan from the Hong Kong International Young Musicians Competition Foundation.
